Photograph appearing in Psychology Today January 2010 issue for the story on challenging relationships titled “Mother Damned-est”. And of course no one better to capture the photo element on a story regarding the human dynamic than Timothy. He shared with us that:
“Both the editors at the magazine and myself were a bit nervous anticipating the photo shoot with Shayne Hughes and his mother. I expected to witness a disfunctional relationship between a mother and son all being demonstrated before us on the shoot…leading to a disasterous photoshoot. The magazine even kind of gave me a back up plan…just in case this situation did not work out. What I got to see into was a super healthy relationship between Mother and Son where they both could be honest about the challeges they faced together when they were younger and currently. What started out as a shoot I felt trepidation about evolved into a shoot that I found ultimately inspiring.”
